Nope, she wasn’t getting fat; 31 year old M.I.A. got knocked up.

When asked if it was true or not, she said: “I’m creating a baby.”  Just when her single Paper Planes was topping the charts. “When I found out I was pregnant and ‘Paper Planes’ was in the iTunes top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window.  I’ve got two kids, that’s what it feels like. And that’s the lesson – you can’t make plans.”  Still, her and fiancé Ben Brewer are thrilled.

Even if babies are generally considered miracles, this one couldn’t come at a worse time.  Hopefully we won’t have forgotten about her by the time she’s back on stage.
