Alicia Keys Welcomes Son Egypt

E! Online is reporting that Alicia Keys gave birth to a son (with Swizz Beats), named Eqypt on October 14th in NYC. Singer Mary J. Blige tweeted her congrats to the couple:

“I’m So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there New, baby, boy!!!!!!!”

Swizz later tweeted:

“I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!”

CONGRATS! Must be something in the air with all these babies here!

Last night when Alicia Keys stepped on stage with this wig at the Oscars, a lot of people had the same question: “what the hell was she thinking?”

You would think that, with all the money she makes, she’d have enough money to pay someone who would be able to do a decent job!

2008′s American Music Awards’ big winners

Chris Brown walked away with 3 awards at the 2008 AMA’s, including the most prestigious one, Artist Of The Year.  He also won the Pop/Rock Male Artist award and the Soul/R & B Male artist award.

Rihanna also won for both these categories (I know some people who are going to celebrate tonight!), as Alicia Key‘s As I Am album won for both categories as well.

Kanye West went home with both Hip Hop/Rap Artist and Hip Hop/Rap Album of the year awards, as Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley won for Country Artists.

Singer/songwriter/producer/actress Alicia Keys has five nominations for the upcoming 2008 American Music Awards, including for artist of the year and favorite female artist in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B.

The event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be held on November 23rd at the California Nokia Theater, where Taylor Swift, Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls are scheduled to perform.
