Celine Dion Gives Birth To Twin Boys

The Canadian singer gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., at 11:11 a.m. and 11:12 a.m., her rep confirmed:

“Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled.”

One of the babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., with the other at 5 lbs., 10 oz.

Ronald Ackerman, Dion’s doctor, said (at a press conference outside the hospital Friday evening) that the delivery was done via C-section and went as expected. He also revealed that the twins were both born with a good amount of hair.

Dion’s rep also says that while the twins are healthy, they will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature.

“Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up,” the rep adds. “René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here.”

René-Charles is Celine’s first son, and the twins’ older brother. Her husband is named René Angélil.  Who wants to take bets they’ll have the name “René” thrown somewhere on their birth certificates?

Celine Dion Checks Into Hospital!

Singer Celine Dion has checked into a West Palm Beach hospital, in preparation for the birth of her twins.  Their due date isn’t until November, but at her age, and with twins, it’s best not to take any chances.  The babies were conceived via in vitro fertilization.

A rep for the hospital said:

“Ms. Celine Dion has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida for observation at the recommendation of her doctors.  She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting.”

Hope everything goes ok!  Babies are always exciting!!

Celine Dion spending $74 Million on a house

Since the Quebec-born diva Céline Dion has stopped performing at the Las Vegas Ceasars Palace’s Colosseum built especially for her 4 year-show with the Cirque Du Soleil, she’s been looking for another place to stay.

The singer, her husband/manager René Angelil and their son René-Charles seem to have found a castle of their own in prestigious Villa Montmorency, France, worth €47 Million EUR or, if you prefer, $74 Million USD.

I don’t know.  I think they should take 8 bucks from all that money and get their son a haircut.

Anyway.  They already owned a few other estates; a $2 Million home in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Quebec, which they still own; a $12,5 Million mansion on their private Jupiter Island in Florida, which they sold $20 Million; $8 Million Gagnon Island, Quebec, on which they built a castle back in 2000 and where Celine’s family lives.  And it must be a huge one too since Celine is the youngest of 14 kids…
