MIA pregnant at the Grammys

While some people were busy getting arrested for beating on their girlfriend, others were there to represent at the Grammy awards show Sunday night.

A very pregnant M.I.A. (whose due date was the same as the Awards show) rocking a weird House of Holland outfit – Spring 09 collection -performed the hit Swagga Like Us alongside Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West and Lil Wayne gave a brilliant performance last night.  Click here to see their performance.

Lil Wayne turns to Rock & Roll

Lil Wayne will record a rock & roll album

According to Drake, an up-and-coming hip hop artist, Lil Wayne is now working on his next album, which will be 100% rock & roll:

“Wayne’s coming out with a new album, it’s a rock album. A complete rock album.   It’s something different in just that whole ’808s and Heartbreak,’ just throwing individuals off.”

He then proceeded to explain how Kanye West‘s 808s and Heartbreak had inspired Wayne to record a rock album.  Fancy way to call Lil Weezy a biter…

Lil’ Wayne sued for copyright infringement

According to The Associated Press rapper Lil Wayne sampled Karma-Ann Swanepoel‘s song “Once” without permission:

“A federal lawsuit filed in May claims Lil Wayne didn’t have permission to sample a song by singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel.

The suit says Lil Wayne’s record label, Cash Money Records, tried but failed to negotiate a license to use Swanepoel’s song “Once” before millions of people downloaded the rapper’s song “I Feel Like Dying.”

Anyway I like Karma’s song better.

Lil Wayne welcomes his son into this world

Lil Wayne is a proud father for the second time.  He was in the delivery room the whole time for the birth of his second child, Dwayne Michael Carter III, born healthy last week.

“I delivered him. I held the left leg the whole time,” said the rapper, visibly proud and emotional about it.  “It was nasty, very nasty, but it was wonderful. Oct. 22, 9:25 a.m., 7 lbs., 12 oz. He’s the best thing to ever happen to me, next to my daughter.”

The 26 year-old who just re-signed a multi-album deal with Cash Money Records has an 8-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter, with his high school sweetheart Antonia “Toya” Johnson.

The baby’s mother identity was not revealed by Lil Weezy.
