Sacha Baron Cohen’s wedding to Isla Fisher has been delayed…for now.
Isla was supposed to be converting to Judaism for their marriage, but it’s taken longer than she expected due to her movie roles. According to tradition, Isla was supposed to convert to Judaism and then spend some time studying the Torah and being a mother to their daughter Olive. But the actress was busy filming Confessions of a Shopaholic, thus causing a delay.
Sacha’s mother is allegedly at odds with Isla for her choice in doing the movie instead of converting at the time. But Sacha is perservering and working on Bruno, so he’s not worried about having a long engagement.
The couple has yet to set a date for their nuptials.
