We all thought her next project was to raise a family but apparently that’s not what Mariah Carey has been working on. The diva will drop a new album titled Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel on September 16th.

Big names, such as  Timbaland, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart and Jermaine Dupri have worked on her album.  The first single, Obsessed, will air on the radio next Tuesday, as her highness twittered it yesterday:

Believe it or not, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been married for a year now.

Mr. & Mrs. Carey celebrate their first wedding anniversary at the Palm Casino Resort in Las Vegas last Thursday.  An emotional hubby told the crowd:

“It’s a very special occasion, a toast to everyone. This is the most amazing person in the world. I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last forever. She is my rock.”

I bet she is!  She’s the breadwinner.

An even more emotional Mariah said: “I have the best man in the whole wide world!”

Anyway, I just lost my$50 bet.

Mariah Carey’s voice is not what it used to be.  The once-upon-a-time ‘alto with a five-octave range able to cover all the octaves from  alto to soprano’ made a remake of her 1992 hit Hero for her last compilation album, The Ballads.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon might not be expecting after all.  She was spotted celebrating the new year with a glass of wine in her hand.

The diva and her hubby flew from Aspen, Colorado and got to St. Barts in the Caribbean in time for the countdown to 2009.

Well, we all thought (maybe pregnant) Mariah Carey knew how to ski since she loved going on ski trips to Aspen, Colorado.  Well, guess again! The diva was seen going to her ski lessons before hoping on them slopes…

Her boy-toy Nick Cannon and their entourage were already having fun while she was still in training.

Not sure it helped.  Well, she can afford a couple more lessons…

Newlyweds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey already look like an old couple with their matching outfits, during a Christmas ski trip to Aspen, Colorado.

Well, the pregnancy rumors must be true, because all of Mariah Carey’s dancers, costume designers and back up singers just got fired.

The 38 year old diva just canceled her upcoming tour without specifying why, leaving number of her ex-employees in tears, as they were hoping working for her would help pay for their Christmas shopping.

Earlier this week, MC was spotted coming out of a well-known ob/gyn’s office on North Crescent blvd with a couple girlfriends, giggling and holding what seemed to be a sonogram.

Even if she’s not saying it, I think it’s becoming pretty obvious…

After rumors about Mariah Carey’s possible pregnancy, there are now two more stars who might be expecting:

Word on the street is that Naomi Campbell might have a bun in the oven. After all, she did have surgery so she could have children.

In a relationship with Russian billionaire Vladimir Doronin, she said a couple times already that she did want to get married very soon and start making babies.  And we all know Naomi ain’t getting any younger!

Avril Lavigne, spotted shopping this week end,looks pregnant too. Unless her stylist really didn’t order the right size of clothes…

Mariah Carey might receive good critics for her role in the movie Tennessee,  and now she has a ballad out called Right To Dream, co-written with country legend Willie Nelson.

The movie, a story of hope and dreams (what else to expect from MC) is set to be released this month.

On a interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Mariah Carey got tricked into revealing what everyone is wondering: is the diva pregnant or not?

First her outfit was… err, unusual. No tight, short dress, but very casual jeans and an ample blouse… things she wouldn’t normally wear.

Then when she refused to discuss whether or not she was pregnant, Ellen served her a nice glass of Dom Perignon champagne to celebrate the fact that she wasn’t, which MC refused to drink.  She first pretended that it was fatening, then that it was too early to start drinking…   Yeah right!

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon were visiting England for only 3 (yes, three) days.

Apparently the couple doesn’t travel light…

Singer/song writer Mariah Carey will be starring in Lee Daniels‘ new movie “Push”, which is already in post-production.  Lenny Kravitz and Mo’Nique are also part of the cast.

The movie is about an obese, illiterate, abused and HIV-positive teenager sharing her story through her diary.  MC plays a small part as an inexperienced social worker.

Lee Daniels directed Monster’s Ball (2001) for which Halle Berry won the Oscar for best actress.
