Kal Penn, who has been playing the role of Dr. Lawrence Kutner on Fox series House since 2007 has quit his acting career to go work at the White House for President Obama.  Smaller paycheck (waaaaaaaaaaaaay smaller), but much more uplifting I guess.

The lucky bastard, who is currently completing a graduate certificate in international security at Stanford University, got a position as the associate director in the White House’s Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs.

She was spotted in Washington DC on January 21st,  fighting the cold as Barack Obama was being sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.

Sean “Diddy” Combs probably went back home crying when new U.S. President Barack Obama refused the Sean John tux sketches presented to him.

Obama chose to wear a bulletproof tuxedo designed by his usual Chicago-based tailor, Hart Schaffner Marx for the inaugurations balls after he was swore in as President.

Better luck next time Diddy!

It was President elect Barack Obama’s daughters’ first day of school in Washington DC and the Secret Services had to take them to the Sidwell Friends School.

Tonight Senator Barack Obama was elected 44th president of the United States of America, only one day after his beloved grandmother passed away.

Obama makes history as he is the first African American to be elected president.

Shortly after the announcement was made, his opponent John McCain made a speech congratulating his new president, proving he’s not a sore loser… or if he is, he knows how to hide it.  It was very convincing anyway.

So, Bush is fired.  Let’s just hope Obama will know where to start with the mess he’s about to get into.   The United States aren’t doing so well these days….

… And we are not talking about the presidency.

Barack Obama lost his beloved maternal grandmother yesterday, just hours before the elections for the 44th American president.

The favorite candidate’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng issued the following statement:

“It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer.
She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances.
She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left this world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring. Our debt to her is beyond measure.”

A tearful Barack Obama stated:

“This obviously is a little bit of a bittersweet time for me.  She was somebody who was a very humble person and a very plain-spoken person.
She was one of those quiet heroes that we have all across America. They’re not famous. … But each and every day they work hard.
She’s gone home. And she died peacefully in her sleep with my sister at her side. And so there is great joy as well as tears.”

His grandmother, who raised him from age 10 while his mother worked in Indonesia and to whom he was really close to, died in Hawaii.
