Kanye West & Lady Gaga tour cancelled!!!
We knew it was going to happen!
After Kanye West’s much publicized outburst at the MTV VMA’s, the rapper apologized live on Jay Leno, and said that he would be taking some much needed time off. He was scheduled to headline a North American tour with Lady Gaga called “Fame Kills” from November through January, but now the tour is officially cancelled.
Kanye has received a lot of negative press since the VMA’s, and last week, Gaga was defending her tour mate, saying “Everybody makes mistakes. He feels so fucking bad. He really does. I think that everyone can get so caught up in gossip and stuff. I felt like that moment kind of like really portrayed him in a way that he really isn’t. It was just a random moment.”
Live Nation, the company promoting the tour, have yet to comment on why the tour is being cancelled. While most think it’s because Kanye is taking time off, others suspect low ticket sales to be the reason. Regardless of what Kanye is doing, Lady Gaga has decided she will launch a tour of her own.
“Kanye’s going to take some time off. But the good news is that I’m going on tour in a few weeks” she said. Lady Gaga will also be on Saturday Night Live this weekend, premiering a new single off of her upcoming The Fame Monster album, which will be out in November.

Wanna know why? Isn’t Kanye West such a major stage-stealer, Lady Gaga? For once, we’ve all been taken aback by his scandalous act in the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards, where he literally filched Taylor Swift’s “winning moment”. At least, Lady Gaga is picking up on someone her own size, as famous as she is, in the proper time and place–practically in the common stage that she and Kanye West shared. Unlike Kanye who is totally inappropriate. Gaga is no non-sense. I’ve seen Gaga’s interview with CNN, and it amazed me when she said that she spends every dollar she makes to her performances and she’s hands-on on all these, not just your ordinary pop star who is spoon-fed with just every bit of fame they got to show off. And this is what she answered when interviewer Kristie Lu Stout asked about the scrutiny under the tremendous fame she’s getting: “There’s no downsides…I’ve always been taught that only value the opinions of those you respect, and anyone you don’t respect, pay no mind to their opinion about you or anything else, and that’s how I live my life.” Bravo!
