Ok. Just to keep you updated……….

WE gave you our “What to watch” earlier, and now we’ll update you on how things are shaping up in TV land. Consider this an update on that, but strictly for new shows.

First off, Melrose Place sucks, and Ashlee Simpson sucks on it. So much so, that she has already been fired, along with cast mate Colin Egglesfield. The two will make their final appearances on an episode in January. The show, hopefully, won’t last much longer.

The Vampire Diaries has been picked up for a full season by The CW, and is doing well and getting better as time goes on, unlike Gossip Girl, which is just getting worse.

NBC has picked up its new comedy Community (really funny) for a full season, as well as renewed Parks & Recreation (also funny) for a full season. They did, however, cancel Southland, the cop drama starring The OC’s Benjamin Mckenzie, even though the show was getting good ratings and reviews. Lucky for the cast though, TNT has bought the show and will be re-airing the first season, as well as airing the second season starting January.

The Jay Leno show is said to be a flop, but NBC is still turning a profit with the show and it’s getting as many or more viewers than their other late night shows, so their going to keep it.

Fox is doing well with Glee and The Clevland show, but won’t see huge ratings until American Idol is back on the air.

ABC’s Flash Forward is truly different than any other show and is a definite must see, and their new show V looks just as unique and well made. Surprisingly, Cougartown is doing okay and is actually a clever and entertaining show (plus we do like Monica from Friends).

HBO’s Bored to Death and Curb Your Enthusiasm make Sundays about more than just Football, and Showtime’s Dexter has already set ratings records this season. Definitely check that out!
